Who is a good fit for your work?

I work with later-stage logistics, 3PL, omnichannel commerce, and ecommerce software companies. The fit is strongest when the business has product-market fit and revenue, needs help across sales, marketing or partnerships, and has a founder or executive who can act on the decisions.

What growth challenges can you help solve?

My consulting work focuses on eight areas:

  • Growth strategy
  • Go-to-market strategy
  • Partnerships and alliances
  • Market expansion
  • ICP expansion and commercial positioning
  • Revenue function alignment
  • Executive and board advisory
  • M&A and commercial diligence advisory

The focus depends on your goals and what's slowing growth. Explore each focus area and its outcomes.

How do you scope an engagement?

We start with your goals and what's slowing growth. I'll propose a scope based on that conversation. Work can be ongoing or project-based, with your leadership team involved in the decisions and execution.

What does strategic advisory involve?

I advise on growth priorities, positioning, partnerships, market entry and acquisitions. That can mean board sessions or regular conversations with the CEO, CRO or leadership team. We agree on the focus and frequency based on the decisions you need to make.

Can you help if partnerships are not generating revenue?

Yes. I help choose partners, agree on how you'll work together, and give both teams what they need to sell. We assess partnerships by the pipeline, customer conversions, cross-sell and revenue they produce.

Can you help a company move upmarket or refine its ideal customer profile (ICP)?

Yes. I review wins and losses, customer segments and competitors to identify where you have a strong fit. Then we adjust positioning, messaging and the sales approach for the customers you want to reach.

What does market expansion work include?

I assess demand, competitors and positioning, then plan the order of market entry. We identify the team, partners and sales channels needed, along with investment requirements, milestones and risks.

Can you support an acquisition or sale process?

I provide commercial diligence for logistics and commerce-tech transactions. That includes reviewing the target's sales approach, revenue quality, forecasts, P&L structure and fit with the buyer's strategy.

When are you probably not the right fit?

My focus is later-stage logistics and commerce businesses. Pre-revenue startups and companies outside those sectors usually need different experience. I also don't take on standalone execution work, such as running a campaign or writing content without responsibility for the strategy.
